How to Configure the device automation service without switch off the firewall

Hi friends,

I need to know about how to configure the device automation service without switch off the firewall in the both remote desktop and the design studio machine. I can only configure the both devices with switch off the firewall. That can be a issue for the security in the both ends.

You need to create exceptions in whatever firewall you're using (could be Windows firefwall or third party or even hardware firewall). Though if Design Studio and DAS are both on the same subnet, the hardware firewall shouldn't interfere.

On DAS:  outgoing and incoming exceptions for the Design Studio's IP address (or range of IP addresses).
On Design Studio: outgoing and incoming exceptions for the DAS' IP address (or range) and also make sure ports 49998 (command port default) and 49999(stream port) default are open.
