Hello,
If you could give us little bit more information that would be great.
1. Does the Desktop Automation service stop working/running when icon disappears?
2. What version are you running please?
If not, then it could be just a standard Windows behaviour [controlled via settings] where it hides icons next to the clock.
If it does crash/stopped working it could be that you do not have enough resources available or the version that you have in need of an upgrade.
You can view logs by right clicking on Desktop automation service icon and going to 'Configure' > System > Open Current log [or open log directory].
From there, you can usually say where to dig or if the log is in the debug, you can find out more about specific errors.
Do no post entire log here, but if you could provide us with some lines before the crash and before the desktop automation service reconnecting again.
