How to use browser Chromium? Empty How to use browser Chromium?

Post by Hugo Carvalho Fri Sep 28, 2018 6:59 pm

Hi, I am trying to use Kapow with a website, that uses a lot of JavaScript. The page does not render. I saw a similar topic where it was said that it is possible to call the browser Chromium using a DAS step without the need to add device, but I could not perform the procedure. How is exactly the procedure? Or there another alternative?

The version of my Kapow is 10.3.0.7.

    Thanks all!

Did you try going into the DAS step, and adding an Open step as the first step? Leaving URI blank and device set to local?

    Yes, I did the following:

How to use browser Chromium? Captur10

Should I take any action before DAS step? Would the browser appear in Automation Device View?

Executing beyond that step brings up nothing in the Automation Device View? Maybe try putting http://www.google.com in the URI

Also, what are the other options in that dropdown that says local?

Amazing, it's working after entering a URI!

However, for some reason, when I open more than one tab an error is displayed:

"Cannot create a unique finder for the selected element"

    But it's working!  cheers
    Thank you!

Ahhhhhhhhh I am so jealous! That looks awesome.

You probably need to write distinguishable 'application finders' for each tab that you open to get rid of that error

I guess you have this error because several Google tabs are opened in Chromium. I have the same error, but I don't know how to close the existing tabs before starting my workflow... Any clue is greatly welcome Smile

    Hi Eric

You can close the Chromium by creating click step and clicking close button ("X" on top right corner of the browser window).

Also you can close DAS editor and refresh the robot. That will also close existing browser instances.
