    Hello,


    We have created sales order creation in SAP using Device automation.In this scenario, A mail from Outlook is captured with the Excel attached. SAP is logged on and required Transaction Code is entered with other details (e.g; Order Receipt, Distribution Channel, Division etc).

    Below are few Issues that we are facing while automating.
    o The entire process is taking about 6-7 minutes to complete
    o Opening Outlook- downloading the attachment is taking about 1 minute.
    o When navigating from one screen to another it takes about 1 to 1.5 minute(Here we have used “move mouse” step along with “click step”)


    Please help us out to speeding up the processes

    Hi,
    first of all, which version of Kapow are you using? Some versions had these issues with speed.
    Another thing is, use as much as possible "Freeze Tree" for SAP, which speeds the work of robot.

    We are using Kofax Kapow 10.3.0.0. 
    I will try out with "Freeze Tree" option

    Hi,
    I thought it. You have to update to 10.3.0.1. The previous version had many issues especially with SAP. After you update it with the latest realease, it will start to be much faster and without designing issues. With 10.3.0.0 even the freeze tree won't help you.

    We have upgraded to 10.3.0.1.Its taking much lesser time compared to 10.3.0.0.

    Can anyone share any example of freeze tree step. I am not sure how to use this.

    Hi,
    you add a freeze tree step and you add specific steps, like clicking, extracting etc. inside this freeze step.
    When it makes sense to use it? For example (you're using Windows Tree mode) you need to extract and modify several fields and places in one form! of an Application which does some background tasks if you work with the form. Especially SAP is perfect example. You click somewhere, put a value and SAP does many things in background, which without freeze tree step produces a lot of waiting time for Kapow until the tree is refreshed. The important thing is, when you open different form, it will not see any object of the form, because the tree is freezed Smile
    To refresh the tree, step out from freeze tree and Kapow will refresh it.
