Working with Outlook

Is there a way to work with Outlook through APIs or another way? (read and manage emails and folders)

Have a look on https://smarthub.kofax.com/ there are some example snippets and robots here that includes ingesting, sending and changing the read status of a message via Exchange Web Services.

There's also an alternative web mail client that can used under Tomcat for POP3/IMAP/SMTP based email
