Have you configured the details, as per the configuration mentioned in the installation guide?

Probably a DNS issue. If you have specified the hostname in your Device Automation Configuration then the MC/design studio needs to be able to resolve on this name
If you remove the hostname then it will use the DAS ip address by default
If you remove the hostname then it will use the DAS ip address by default
